Lynne's decision to become a lactation consultant came about as she worked in one of the private hospitals in Sydney's eastern suburbs, where she saw mothers in need of support with breastfeeding and care for their babies at home after discharge from hospital.
Once qualified Lynne quickly gained support from the obstetricians and paediatricans at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital, and was granted visiting rights to see mothers and babies as in patients at the hospital.
Lynne also picks up referrals from the hospital midwives, early childhood nurses, GP's in the area, and from grateful clients who have been helped and well supported by Lynne. She is now seeing some clients with their third and fourth baby.
Lynne completed an accredited course in Sydney and gained an internationally recognised certificate as a Lactation Consultant. Prior to this she has worked as a registered nurse, registered midwife and a nurse educator after completing a Masters in Nursing (Education).
Sydney has been Lynne's home for the last 27 years where she has worked and lived with her husband and two children (now adults).
